Has anyone had to navigate when a husband does not want to separate/divorce? Like many of you, my husband is a wonderful man and loves me unconditionally. He is supportive of me pursuing my queer identity, meeting and dating others but ultimately wants to stay together but in a non conventional relationship (open marriage, thrupple, etc). He is really struggling with the sexualization of coming out. “Why would I leave a great relationship for sex?” Any suggestions on how to articulate and explain that that’s not it? Thanks!

Hello! I just came out as a Lesbian at 27. I don’t have any queer friends but I live close to a city that’s very queer friendly. I was thinking of attending some queer events to help find some queer friends but I’m a little nervous about going alone. I know one queer person in the area who was a friend of a friend in college. I follow them on social media but we never really had that much interaction in school. I was wondering if it would be weird if I reached out to them to see if they want to hang out? I have no intentions on dating or anything romantic at the moment since I’m still processing everything. Just curious if it would be weird to reach out or should I just find my own community by going to queer events. The reason I’ve been thinking about messaging them is because they are very vocal about creating safe places for queer people on their social media post and they seem like someone who is very supportive around the queer experience. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Did I wait too long? Are my “good” years behind me? Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve come out earlier. BEFORE two failed marriages in heteroworld, back when I had no fear when it came to dating. Never would’ve thought, coming out in my 40s, it would be this difficult to find my people/my person. Is it because I live in a small town and the closest area that has gay/lesbian areas are 45 minutes away or is it because I’m older and don’t hang out in bars anymore? There’s online dating but I’m finding a lot of the women just want a hook up. I’m too old for that. Am I the only one that wonders if they waited too long to come out and their “good” years are behind them??
